Keynote Speakers Announced

Join us for PastForward Online 2020, October 27–30, for engaging discussions with expert speakers as we explore the themes, Resilience and Relevance.

Speaker highlights include:

  • Darren Walker, president of the Ford Foundation and co-chair of the African American Cultural Heritage Action Fund, will kick off Wednesday with A Conversation About Philanthropy and Preservation as Justice.
  • Governor Brian Vallo of Acoma Pueblo will explore how indigenous knowledge systems and prophecy could help us achieve balance between humanity and our natural environment on Thursday.
  • Patrice Frey, president and CEO of the National Main Street Center, will explore, and celebrate, how the Main Street movement has evolved over the past 40 years on Friday.
  • George Takei, actor, activist, will wrap up PastForward on Friday as he’ll share how storytelling through artifacts and sites associated with our often-difficult history is powerful and critically important to us.
