As chief advancement officer, overseeing all revenue and brand-building efforts, Jon Kevin Gossett brings more than 25 years of fundraising and marketing experience to the National Trust for Historic Preservation, as well as a strong record of enabling leading development and non-profit organizations to significantly increase their scope of services and programs.

Gossett has successful fundraising and leadership experience at distinguished institutions, in fields as diverse as public media and policy, health care, and the performing arts. He previously served as Senior Vice President for External Relations with Bipartisan Policy Center. Over the course of his career, Gossett has also served as chief development officer for the San Francisco Opera, Houston Grand Opera, and Guthrie Theater; Senior Vice President, Development at American Public Media; and Executive Director of the St. Luke’s Episcopal Health Foundation.

Gossett holds a Bachelor’s Degree in music performance and business administration from the University of Michigan and a Masters of Arts Degree in philanthropy and development from St. Mary’s University of Minnesota. He has served as an adjunct professor at St. Mary’s and as a presenter for Walden University. He has also served on the boards of the Association of Fundraising Professionals, Golden Gate and Houston Chapters; the Minnesota Humanities Commission; Greater Twin Cities Youth Symphonies; and St. Luke’s Episcopal Health Charities.

Gossett earned the Advanced Certified Fundraising Executive certification, the 77th professional internationally to qualify for designation.
