Apalachicola Bay Chamber of Commerce
Established in 1831, the city of Apalachicola was once the third largest port on the Gulf of Mexico. Situated on the Apalachicola Bay and River, the city has over 90 historic homes and buildings listed in its National Register District. Tracing its roots back to 1836, the Apalachicola Bay Chamber of Commerce is the oldest Chamber of Commerce in the State of Florida and is one of the oldest continuously operating chambers of commerce in the United States. Within steps of the Apalachicola River, the Chamber of Commerce serves Apalachicola, St. George Island, Eastpoint, and the surrounding areas.
