Nevada Northern Railway, National Historic Landmark

The Nevada Northern Railway is a National Historic Landmark, established in 1905, connected one of the largest copper mines in North America to the Transcontinental routes to the North. Many of the original steam locomotives that were operated to the new railroad over a century ago are still in operation today.
