July 2 Afternoon: Joliet Area Historical Museum and Route 66 Welcome Center (204 North Ottawa Street, Joliet, IL 60432). Join us for a meet-and-greet at this awesome museum, which introduces visitors to the many stories of the Joliet area and its people.

July 2 Evening: Route 66 Museum (110 West Howard Street, Pontiac, IL 61764). This evening event will give attendees the chance to learn more about the history of this iconic highway.

July 3 Afternoon: Palms Grill Cafe and Paul Bunyon Hot Dog Statue (110 + 112 SW Arch Street, Atlanta, IL 61723). Meet up at this iconic cafe, then stand in awe of a towering statue of everyone's favorite lumberjack holding a giant hot dog.

July 3 Evening: Cozy Dog Drive In (2935 South 6th Street, Springfield, IL 62703). Ever wondered who decided to put corndogs on a stick? Turns out, it all started at this historic restaurant. Join us, and sample one of these deep-fried delights while you're at it.

July 4: All-day event with Downtown Springfield.

July 5 Afternoon: Ariston Cafe (413 Old Route 66 North, Litchfield, IL 62056). Thought to be one of the first restaurants on Route 66, the Ariston Cafe is a true Mother Road icon and the perfect place for a meetup.

July 5 Evening: Pink Elephant Antique Mall (908 Veterans Memorial Drive, Livingston, IL 62058). Join us to find pink elephants (or, giant sculptures of pink elephants) on parade, plus plenty of other quirky antiques and vintage memorabilia.
