Preservation Personals: A Perfect Balance Between Beach Parties and Family Life

  • By: Filip Mazurczak

Mediterranean Art Deco House—Miami Beach, Florida

Do you have a family and want to settle down, while still reliving the fun of your youth every now and again? If so, then I am the perfect house from you. I am located in the lush, tree-lined Palm View Historic District in Miami Beach, a quiet residential area perfect for raising your kids, yet I’m just minutes away from the beach by foot.

Built in 1946, I am an example of Art Deco and Mediterranean Architectural styles and am located in a neighborhood with many more such houses, so if you buy me, you’ll feel like you’ve traveled back in time.

Did I mention I'm located in Palm View Historic District?

I am filled with gorgeous Terrazzo floors and original wood flooring in the bathrooms, where you will also find original murals showing Florida wildlife painted on the walls. Bay windows in each bedroom allow lots of natural light to brighten your day (literally). And when you have guests, you can show off the native garden I come with, which features exotic fruit trees that bring all sorts of beautiful birds and butterflies.
