    An hour south of Atlanta in LaGrange, Georgia, a new historical restoration project is scheduled to be completed in Summer 2025. The Mulberry Street Cemetery is a major initiative aimed at revitalizing, preserving, and highlighting the historical significance of the site. It honors and recognizes those in unmarked graves, incorporates comprehensive educational elements, showcases regional and local history, and creates a vibrant public space for community engagement. The Mulberry Street Cemetery has been the final resting place for individuals from diverse backgrounds, including Confederate Soldiers, enslaved individuals who played vital roles during the Civil War, and more than 1,000 unmarked graves. This historic cemetery is also home to Horace King, a former slave who rose to become an accomplished engineer, bridge builder, and state legislator. For more information, visit us.

  3. Fort D in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, is a Civil War-era fort alongside the Mississippi River and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Live reenactments occur multiple times a year.
