National Preservation Lawyers Network

The National Preservation Lawyers Network is a national community of lawyers committed to protecting, preserving, and reusing historic places. Historic preservation law is not one practice area, but an interweaving of laws, regulations and policy at federal, state and local levels addressing matters of historic preservation concern – from land use and development, to historic tax credits, conservation restrictions, tribal cultural heritage preservation, constitutional and administrative law issues, and more.

The Network is dedicated to cultivating connections between lawyers and empowering the public with preservation legal services and resources.

Membership in the Network is free and voluntary. Members will have the opportunity to engage with potential clients and/or provide pro bono services, receive updates on legal developments in historic preservation, participate in Network convenings, and connect with members.

Participation by lawyers interested and/or practicing in historic preservation law is welcome. If you are a lawyer interested in joining the National Preservation Lawyers Network, please consider completing the membership form.
