A bioluminescent lagoon, mangroves, coral reefs, dry forests, and sandy and rocky beaches set between headlands: Witness all these ecosystems in one place at the Cabezas de San Juan Nature Reserve in Fajardo, Puerto Rico. There you can take traditional, night, and thematic tours on a bike, kayak, or trolley. Every tour is led by a history and nature specialist who will explain everything about the ecosystem, landscape, and wildlife of the reserve, such as the historic Fajardo Lighthouse and its breathtaking view of Puerto Rico's northeast coast. Cabezas de San Juan offers guided tours year round, as well as workshops, bird watching, volunteer and visitor science activities, and seasonal events.

Para la Naturaleza is a nonprofit unit of the Conservation Trust of Puerto Rico. Its goal is to integrate society at large in the conservation of natural ecosystems, in order to increase the amount of protected lands in Puerto Rico.

Reservations can be made from 9:00 a.m.–5:30 p.m on Mondays through Fridays at 787-722-5882.
