Historic Sotterley is a museum that interprets history spanning three centuries, from 1699 to 1960. Experience Sotterley’s 94 acres on the Patuxent River, 20 historic buildings that include a 1703 manor house and an original 1830s slave cabin, six-mile trail system, Colonial Revival Gardens, and organic farm. Sotterley tells the stories of its people both enslaved and free from colonial British rule until the Civil Rights Movement.
