The Heurich House Museum is the former Dupont Circle home of Christian Heurich, D.C.'s most successful brewer. Heurich was a proud German immigrant and an avid philanthropist, as well as the District's largest non-governmental employer and landowner. When he died at the age of 102, he was also the world's eldest brewer.

Heurich's castle, the District's first fireproof house, is listed on the National Register and is considered one of the most intact Victorian houses in the country. It retains the Heurich family's original furnishings and decorations, as well as a rich trove of family history kept alive by local relatives.

Today the museum is open for public tours and programs, and may be rented for special events. The archives feature original family diaries and brewery documents.
