The Oberlin Heritage Center preserves historic sites and collects artifacts showcasing the powerful stories of this nationally significant community where everyday people have done extraordinary things, since the town and college were founded in 1833. Collections illustrate abolition and the Underground Railroad, women's history, the development of aluminum, radicals and reformers, and more. Located adjacent to the Oberlin College and the downtown historic district, the Oberlin Heritage Center is accredited by the American Alliance of Museums and part of the National Underground Railroad Network to Freedom.
