National Trust and its Nine Historic Sites Working Remotely Until Further Notice

Out of concern for the health and safety of our visitors and staff due to the coronavirus, the National Trust for Historic Preservation has suspended tours and other activities at our nine stewardship historic sites that we own and operate. These sites will be closed and all public activities scheduled at these sites will be cancelled until further notice. The National Trust Historic Sites that are a part of our portfolio but operated by our partners are making individual decisions on their operations. Please consult their individual websites for further information.

The National Trust will continue its vital work to save America’s historic places, with staff across country working remotely. We will let you know when normal operations resume. Our main phone number is (202) 588-6000 or you can leave a message for the public affairs department at 202-588-6141. Reporters on deadline should email communications@savingplaces.org. The Trust wishes you and yours continued wellness, safety, and good health.

About the National Trust for Historic Preservation

The National Trust for Historic Preservation is a privately-funded nonprofit organization dedicated to helping communities maintain and enhance the power of historic places. Chartered by Congress in 1949 and supported by partners, friends, and champions nationwide, we help preserve the places and stories that make communities unique. Through the stewardship and revitalization of historic sites, we help communities foster economic growth, create healthier environments, and build a stronger, shared sense of civic duty and belonging.
