Happy 100th Birthday, National Park Service!

From Hawaii to Maine and from Puerto Rico to Alaska, America's national parks hold history that literally spans millennia. And while not quite as old as the places themselves, the National Park Service has now been watching over these sacred lands and cultural remains for exactly 100 years—which is quite a feat in itself!

That's right. Today, August 25, 2016, is the precise 100-year anniversary of the National Park Service.
