Laramie Plains Museum at the Historic Ivinson Mansion

  • Constructed: 1892
  • Location: Laramie, WY

Set on the property of the impressive Ivinson Mansion, the Laramie Plains Museum is one the region’s finest repositories of history. This distinguished historic house museum is a must-see when visiting Laramie, Wyoming, the infamous western town, 45 miles west of Cheyenne. Saved from demolition, the Mansion has been restored to its original 1892 opulence, so a docent-led tour is a treasured step back in time to learning of the significant pioneer owners and viewing three floors of area artifacts. The grand landscape of the full square block property make the perfect setting for weddings, which occur throughout each year.
