Pecos National Historical Site
The Forked Lighting Ranch, is a New Mexico icon located in the Pecos National Historic Park, in the northern part of the state. The ranch's fence is an important feature as its massiveness, color, and the Forked Lighting logo on the masonry pillars became a symbol for the ranch. They are a very prominent feature in the landscape along NM Route 63.
The Park Service worked closely with the Rocky Mountain Youth Corps of New Mexico on a HOPE Crew project preserving this key feature to the historic landscape of Northern New Mexico.
