More than $9.2 million has been raised for the rehabilitation of Milwaukee’s Mitchell Park Domes, the Milwaukee Domes Alliance announced on June 23, 2026. This represents more than half of the private funding needed to break ground on Phase 1 of the project, which will include rehabilitating the three domes and adding visitor amenities.

The overall project also includes $35 million in historic tax credit financing, $30 million from Milwaukee County, and $15 million in other public funding sources. In May 2026, the Domes were added to the State Register of Historic Places and is currently being considered for the National Register of Historic Places.

Mitchell Park Domes was named to the National Trust's list of America's 11 Most Endangered Historic Places for 2016.
