No American road trip is complete without seeing Mount Rushmore National Memorial, which features towering sculptures of four U.S. presidents sculpted by Danish-American artist Gutzon Borglum. To view the sculpture from the artist’s original perspective, millions of park visitors have descended the stone staircase to reach the Borglum View Terrace, site of the sculptor's original studio.
