By the Numbers: 25 Years of the National Trust Community Investment Corporation

The National Trust Community Investment Corporation (NTCIC), part of the National Trust family of companies, marked its 25th anniversary in 2025. As a mission-led impact investment firm, NTCIC is dedicated to advancing historic preservation and adaptive reuse projects by connecting private capital with developers. To commemorate this milestone anniversary, leaders at NTCIC reflected on its impact in a new retrospective report.

Since its inception in 2000, NTCIC has created over 7,500 housing units across the country, directing 87 percent of its investments to low-income census tracts. To advance sustainability, it has invested $1 billion in solar power and installed over 900 megawatts’ worth of solar panels through its affiliate NT Solar. Additional insights and analyses on sustainable, equitable development are included throughout the report.
