When and where will the National Preservation Summit take place?
- September 22-23, 2026 program will be held at the Washington National Cathedral, 3101 Wisconsin Ave NW, Washington, DC 20016.
- September 24, 2026 program will be held on Capitol Hill. Details will be provided to participants closer to the date. Indicate your interest when you register.
How much is registration for the Summit?
Admission to the National Preservation Summit is free, but registration is required to participate in any programs or the livestream.

Are there any virtual or online events for the Summit?
Yes, the programs on Tuesday, September 22, and Wednesday, September 23 will livestreamed for those with a virtual registration. The program will not be available on-demand.
How do I get to the Cathedral?
The Cathedral is located in northwest Washington, DC in the Cathedral Heights neighborhood. The nearest Metrorail stations are Tenleytown and Woodley Park. Numerous Metrobus lines have stops within the blocks immediately surrounding the Cathedral, including the C51 Metrobus route which goes between the Omni Shoreham Hotel and the Cathedral.

Is there a mask policy for the Summit?
Masks are welcome but not required. Anyone may wear a mask at any time and we request that all attendees respect the decision of their fellow attendees to wear a mask.
Is there an event code of conduct?
The National Trust for Historic Preservation wants to ensure that our events and convenings are a fulfilling experience for all. Accordingly, all event attendees are expected to follow the Code of Conduct, which applies to all in-person and virtual events, sessions, discussion groups, and related online forums.
