Puerto Rico after Hurricane Maria

Este Lugar Me Importa: Puerto Rico

Thanks to your generous support, the Tarps Campaign in Puerto Rico was a success. 200 tarps are on their way to our partner, Para La Naturaleza (Conservation Trust of Puerto Rico), who will ensure they are put to good use as quickly as possible.

During Hurricane Maria in 2017, thousands of buildings—historic and new—lost their roofs. Fresh rain furthered damages to these places, delaying people’s return to their homes, businesses, and normal routines. The tarps will protect affected homes and buildings from the elements, slow the structural damage, and help our fellow citizens get back on their feet faster.

Our work with Puerto Rico, however, is far from over. Together with our partners, we will continue to build resiliency and create a foundation for recovery and restoration.
